The Profound Heart of Ten Thousand Souls

Heaven and Earth endure forever.

The reason Heaven and Earth can last so long is that they do not live for themselves, and so they can endure.

There are immortals in this world.

Those who cultivate immortality, transcend the mortal realm, and live as long as Heaven and Earth may soar through the heavens, but cannot escape them. They cannot be called Heaven and Earth, nor can they be called immortals.

Heaven and Earth may endure forever, but immortals can die...

To the east lies the sea, where wind and thunder rage without end.

To the south lies a forest, where miasma blots out the sun.

To the west lie barren wastes, great marshes, and volcanoes.

To the north lies bitter cold, with ice covering thousands of miles.

Those mortals with the strength to explore beyond the eight directions are called...
