The Contest

A series of extortion cases takes place in Shuangqing City. According to the information gathered by the police, the suspect used phone cards that required no real-name registration to take photos of hostesses and extort them. The person collecting the money wore a delivery uniform and a motorcycle helmet. Despite several attempts by the police to set up an ambush in advance, the suspect escaped each time. Just as the police were closing in on the truth, the suspect was unexpectedly caught after someone reported them. As evidence piled up, however, the investigators handling the case discovered that the suspect they had apprehended had not acted alone. To identify the real culprit, one of them tries every means available, unaware that even greater danger is close at hand. A zero-sum game with no winners or losers, playing out in real life. People are constantly locked in tense contests with one another, and everyone faces one choice after another. The world is not so simple as black and white; there are no purely good or bad people. Everyone has a vulnerable side in their heart, and a crazed side, too. Life is nothing but...
