The Song Dynasty: Spare the Just Lord

I transmigrated to the Great Song and became the young Bao Zheng.

The dark-faced youth stirs up the Great Song. In court, he commands the fear of every civil and military official. Bao Zheng coolly surveys the assembled ministers. "Today, we execute corrupt officials. Tomorrow, we behead crooked officials. The day after, we put traitors to the state to death! Anyone who falls into my hands gets the executioner's blade."

The ministers cry out, "Have mercy, Lord Bao!"

Empress Zhang: "Your Majesty! I am the empress. I only burned down the garden at my own home. Is that Bao the Black-Faced really going to punish me?"

Chancellor Wang Yanling: "Your Majesty! I am a veteran of two reigns. Everything I have done was for the safety of the Great Song!"

Emperor Renzong covers his face. "Enough, all of you. Bao Zheng has that executioner's blade, and he's already sharpening it for me. Is there anything he wouldn't dare do?"
