I am Li Xinhan, author of the long novel Tigers, Wolves, Eagles, and Bears. The novel is as righteous and valiant as Water Margin, with ingenious schemes like Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Its language is written in an archaic style, and its plot is concise. A spirit of chivalry and tender affection runs throughout.
The novel has two main storylines. One follows Liu Qinglong, Li Letian, and others who defected to the Tatars, joining forces with Japanese pirates and people from the Central Plains who oppose the Ming dynasty in an attempt to bring it down. They pit their wits and courage against the Ming generals Li Yuanlong, Qi Jiguang, and Liu Zihao. The other follows the tangled love and hate between Hangzhou scholar Li Letian and Liang Liqing, Li Yu, and Liu Qing, as well as the grudges and passions he shares with his sworn elder brothers Lu Jianwu and Ma Di. The novel runs for 120 chapters and 1.6 million words, with more than a thousand characters.
This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance is purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
