The Metropolis: I Come from the Fourth Dimension

Billions of years ago, a creature told the Void that life was too short to see the whole world.

The kindhearted Void eventually destroyed that universe and created one where creatures could cultivate, allowing them to decide for themselves how long they lived.

Later, another creature told the Void that surviving in this world was simply too difficult, with slaughter everywhere.

The kindhearted Void once again destroyed the universe it had created, then created a new one.

As life in the universe evolved, something they called technology came to dominate every planet. This time, those creatures brought about their own extinction.
