The Vast Deep: First Steps into the Universe

The story follows the protagonist, Gus. After visiting a planet, he encounters a spaceship disaster on the way back. When he wakes up, he discovers that he has somehow ended up at the other end of the universe, where he finds Yan Rong, an earlier "spaceflight disaster girl." To fulfill Yan Rong's wish to return home, Gus becomes a captain and sets off on the journey back.
