Reborn as a Dragon-Subduing Arhat

When Jia Daoji discovers that he is the reincarnation of the Dragon-Subduing Arhat, he happens upon a Heavenly Book and decides to take an unconventional path and become a god unlike any other.

Slaying demons and monsters and saving all living beings? Child's play. That's all effortless for him.

He studies the Heavenly Book and refines magical treasures, getting whatever he wants. He washes down Laozi's golden pills with wine, quenches his thirst with the Queen Mother's peaches of immortality, and heads to the Moon Palace to discuss his past and present lives with Chang'e. If he doesn't have a villa, he lives in the most luxurious palace. If he doesn't have a luxury car, he rides the finest steed.

He removes the decree posted on Five Elements Mountain, leaving the pilgrimage west without its eldest disciple. Erlang Shen's Howling Celestial Dog learns the hard way that throwing its weight around gets it beaten and served up as a snack.

He plays with all the gods of Heaven and sweeps away the demons and monsters of the world. With a wave of his hand, the sun and moon sink; when his sword is drawn, heaven and earth tremble. He defies demons and rebels against an unjust Heaven, looking down upon the firmament with a laugh as he takes command of the universe.
