The Legend of Tangdi

In the third month of late spring, when the grass was growing and the orioles were flying, Zhang Shoukuan set off for Jinling to visit a friend. Just after leaving his home, on the outskirts of Xiangyang, a masked figure blocked his path. Though he couldn't see the person's face, their graceful figure made it clear they were a woman. Zhang Shoukuan caught the faint scent of perfume, and the smooth, delicate skin exposed to view suggested she was still quite young. He thought, "No wonder people say the world is getting worse. In broad daylight, on this busy main road, someone has come out to rob me. And there's an eight-in-ten chance it's a young woman. Her target is me, a strapping young martial artist carrying a weapon. Unbelievable. You really do see all sorts of strange things."
