between

the sacred and the sinful.

That thing is hatred.

A boy with a complicated past turns the hatred in his heart into a smile, sneering as if death itself were singing.

He cries out in his heart:

If the heavens bind me, I will shatter them. If the earth binds me, I will trample it beneath my feet.

If the gods of the nine heavens and the Buddhas of the ten realms bind me, I will kill any god I meet and destroy any Buddha I see.

He was an ordinary boy still young enough to dream, yet he never imagined that an enormous secret lay hidden behind it all.

First, the Demon Realm had him killed. After he died and entered the Underworld, the Underworld used him too, turning him into an executioner who slaughtered the Demon Realm. Just as the Demon Realm began hunting him with all its might, he discovered that all of it had been part of a scheme the Celestial Realm had plotted long ago...

This is the story of a boy who awakens on the brink of life and death, and ultimately sets out on the path of slaying gods.

If the gods can no longer help, then...
