The full title of Part One is: Qiji: Eternal Vigil
The animated series is Digimon Tamers.
The plot is as follows: Ruki is captured and taken to the Dark Area by 'Ryo Akiyama,' who is under the control of his inner demon. Takato and the others set out to rescue her. On the way, Takato gets separated from the group and meets Ouyang Chengxin of the Huaxia Empire, who makes a friendly guest appearance. He then encounters a data-born Dark Guilmon, and later Ryo Akiyama in his beast form. In the end, he joins Juri, Hirokazu, Kenta, and Jianliang to rescue Ruki. There is not much Takato and Ruki romance in this part.
