I’ll Never Regret Loving You for a Lifetime

They are all travelers in the mortal world, coming and going along an ancient road stretching into the vast distance, unaware of how many people have walked it before them. Still, they walk on in silence, step after step, simply for the sake of walking. In their haste, he and she took different paths; only the direction of their gazes determined what lay in their hearts. The longing held captive could never escape the confusion within. The road remains rough and rugged; the desolate cycle of life remains unchanged. The road has not changed. It is the people walking it who have. Strangers in the end. What was never theirs has passed away. The wind has scattered. The leaves it swept up, touched by autumn frost, drift away on the breeze, falling and swirling through the air. Longing is a thing of the past; there is no longer any hope of retracing those steps. Let it end, let it end...
