Rule Horror: I Turned the Supernatural Into a Housekeeping Company

Rule-based horror, subverting conventions, dark humor, workplace reform, behind-the-scenes scheming, and people reading too much into things

The supernatural has returned, and indescribable rule-based horrors have enveloped the globe. All of humanity struggles to survive amid cold terror.

Lu Chen, a former HR director at a major tech company, transmigrates into a temporary grunt at the Anomaly Cleanup Bureau. From the start, he's trapped in an apartment building full of bloodthirsty impostors. As the monsters rush at him with their faces splitting open, he calmly adjusts his glasses and produces a stack of labor compliance agreements and employee ID cards.

Ding! An impostor has been detected failing to wear required protective equipment. Major violation confirmed. Its core rule-based ability has been forcibly revoked!

The Split-Mouth Woman comes to clean the house, the Eight-Foot-Tall Woman unclogs the drains, and the indescribable Lord of the Old Ones clocks in for an overnight shift cleaning windows! The Cleanup Bureau and financial powerhouses around the world stare in disbelief: "We sent you to your death, and you recruited all the Old Gods?"
