The Dead Are Asked Not to Open the Door

Seven years ago, Lin Du attended his sister's funeral.

There was no body that day, no coffin, not even a photograph proving that his sister had died in a fire. Everyone told him she was dead. He didn't believe them, but he had no evidence to prove otherwise.

Seven years later, Lin Du was working the night shift at a funeral home.

At 11:47 p.m., he received a call from an unknown number. The person on the other end had his sister's voice and told him:

"Go open locker number seventeen."

Inside the locker lay a man who had been dead for seven years.

But on the surveillance footage, another Lin Du was upstairs in the receiving hall, signing for the body.

Then the police came to his door and told him something even more absurd: the hospital had issued his death certificate seven years ago.

From that night on, Lin Du's life was torn apart by a string of inexplicable events.
