The Final Punch Is Called Chinese Martial Arts

On the day of his grandfather's funeral, Li Jingzhe heads into the city to deliver his belongings.

He arrives just as Tai Chi master Zheng Wanshan is livestreaming an apprenticeship ceremony, demonstrating his skills remotely to widespread acclaim. In front of everyone, the master mocks Li Jingzhe's grandfather, Li Shouzhuo, a country bumpkin who spent his whole life practicing Baji and claimed to belong to the Divine Spear lineage. With a mountain-crashing shoulder strike, the 180-pound master smashes into the apprenticeship table. Then, with a half-step hammer fist, he knocks out the hired kickboxing sparring partner on the spot. A video of the incident draws a million viewers, and the whole city is asking: Who is this guy?

No one knows he practices genuine killing techniques, has mastered the visible force, and is on the verge of mastering the hidden force.

The MCN agency behind the master panics. They spread rumors, smear his name, arrange underground fights, and set up betting pools, determined to cripple him in the ring and then pin the blame on him.

No one knows his grandfather didn't die of illness.

The tournament six years ago that forever tarnished traditional martial arts was an elaborate setup. It involved crippling his grand-uncle's hand, signing a fixed-fight contract, and unleashing a storm of abuse, all tied to a predatory industry...
