The Fourth Calamity on My Colony Planet Came to Work

A century ago, in the decisive battle among the stars, humanity's greatest mecha pilot, Starshield, fought to the very end, buying the human race a hundred years to catch its breath through his efforts alone. A century later, he is reborn with the fighting instincts etched into his very bones from his past life, only to be judged mediocre and kicked to the most remote abandoned colony in the registry. Surrounded by the remnants of the Zerg and stripped of resources, the entire planet is counting down to destruction.

Exile is where he belongs.

He awakens an ability to summon the consciousness of Earth players into this world. They reclaim land, mine, build defenses, and research mecha. The players think they're enjoying a free-roaming, full-dive MMO, constantly praising how much freedom the game gives them.

They don't know that bosses really die, lives really end, and their wages really are paid by a cutthroat lord.

When the Zerg swarms return, the abandoned planet becomes humanity's last line of defense. That ruthless lord takes the controls of his mecha once more. Amid the cries of countless players, he raises a real army, guarding each living name on his screen and protecting the last hope of the human race.

You can restart a game, but war wagers a life on the fate of a nation.
