There's Something a Little Criminal About My Fishing Rod

Urban fantasy + System + livestreaming + criminal investigation + comedy

Lin Shen, 27, is a programmer who just got laid off and has spent ten years as an unlucky fisherman who never catches anything.

The night he binds to the Causality Fishing System, he hooks a safe full of stolen money. The next day, he fishes up a phone belonging to a missing girl. On the third day, he finally catches a fish, and it has evidence in its belly.

A fishing fanatic is never skunked, because the things on his hook are never fish. They're cases.

From the Qinglong River to the deep sea, from safes to the ledgers of multinational corporations, Lin Shen livestreams while solving cases, and casually takes care of the criminal investigation squad's annual performance targets.

Police: Are you fishing, or fishing for evidence?

Lin Shen: I'm just a fisherman who wants to quietly catch a fish.

The whole internet: Yeah, right.
