A Run-Down Taoist Temple from the Start

After graduating from college, Lu Zhibai was tricked by a message from his parents into returning to a remote mountain, where he inherited a dilapidated Daoist temple.

Six months later, looking at the 6.66 in his bank account, he decided to sell the temple and head down the mountain. He'd get married to a rich beauty, become a CEO, and reach the peak of life.

As he sacrificed a fish to the kitchen god, a voice suddenly rang in his head:

The Heart Incense Record has activated. It will assist its Host in gathering the incense of the mortal world, cultivating the heart and proving the Dao to attain immortality, and becoming the foremost figure in the Daoist sect.

Marry a rich beauty and become a CEO?

Nothing beats being the foremost figure in the Daoist sect!

From today on, I shall be the foremost figure in the Daoist sect.

Gather heart incense, guide departed souls, receive pilgrims from every walk of life…

Wait, he can really see ghosts?!

At midnight, ghosts line up to offer incense at the dilapidated temple. Tell me, aren't you scared?

Then, on a stormy night, dozens of lightning bolts as thick as barrels ripped through the sky screen and struck the mountaintop.

At the center of the sea of lightning, Lu Zhibai stood in white, unmoved, riding an immortal crane. The bolts filled the sky, yet not one could touch the hem of his robe.

The whole internet exploded...

And you still say you're not a cultivator?
