Fragments of the Rules

Ghosts cannot be killed.

Rules are the only way to survive.

I found a page of incomplete rules. It described how to kill ghosts.

A corner was missing.

That corner held my name.

It has kept me alive three times.

On the fourth, a new line appeared on the torn page:

"Beyond the rules, there are things that cannot be named."

The handwriting was mine.

I never wrote it.

The missing corner is waiting for me to fill it in.
