Shadow Protocol

Elias Voss was once a top agent in the secret organization known as the Fourth Echelon. Three years ago, he buried his wife, Elena, with his own hands. The organization then erased his identity, and he went into hiding in the border town of Blackridge.

One rainy night, a call from his dead wife shatters the quiet. "Elias, do you remember St. Mary's Hospital? Do you remember what you did to me?"

He follows the clues, only to find a line of tiny print at the bottom of the death report he signed: Memory implantation complete: 97%. Test subject number: Subject Zero. Project lead: E. Voss.

He is not an investigator, but the first test subject in Project Night Watch. The past, love, and loyalty he remembers may all be an implanted script. And Elena is not dead. She is being held on the third basement level of St. Mary's Hospital in Novagler.

Voss takes up his weapons again and sets out on a trail that crosses three countries. He must rescue Elena and expose Project Night Watch, but above all, he must face the cruelest truth of all: if he cannot trust his own memories, what can he trust?
