Assassin's Creed: Ezio Begs Me to Stop

After transmigrating into the world of Assassin's Creed, Lu Yuntao awakens a Rebellion System: persuade an Assassin to join him, and he unlocks a memory from the Isu genetic archive; kill a Templar, and he draws one of their ancestors' abilities.

From the start, the Apple of Eden goes out of control. Ezio bears the whole burden alone, preparing to strike Rome by himself. Lu Yuntao steps out of the shadows, pressing his hidden blade to the back of Ezio's neck. “Do you want to be a hero, or do you want to win?”

He tosses him a list: every Borgia family contact, every flow of money, every hideout, all laid out on the page.

“Work with me, and I'll tear the Holy Father out of the Vatican by the roots. No matter what it takes.”

Ezio falls silent for three seconds, then snaps the Brotherhood insignia in half.

From that moment on, the Hidden Ones have a new rule: a godslayer doesn't have to be a saint.

Standing atop Rome's walls, Lu Yuntao watches the Borgia banners whip in the wind.

“First, bring the Assassins to heel. Then, topple the Templars. I'll make the moves in this game.”
