Green Lantern Shines on Snow

The jianghu is an old scripture. The one who copied it is gone, and the one who must settle the account has arrived.

Xie Zhifei spent ten years copying scriptures. Now, on his master's behalf, he descends the mountain to settle a fifty-year-old debt at White Horse Temple. Before he leaves, his master gives him six words: White Horse Temple, not the sword, but the people.

In Qingyang Town, he meets a child who falls twice while learning to walk without crying, an iron spear bearing a blood-red tassel stained thirty years ago, and a lame beggar who can recite even his master's last words. But he still owes his mother an answer: why did a believer in Buddha die on the road to White Horse Temple?

The jianghu is vast enough to hold the blades of three provinces and six ministries, and the incense of a holy maiden of the state religion. Yet it is also small enough that one young man can carry the snow of an entire prince's mansion on his back.

He fears death, so he calculates every step in advance. He believes in rules, so he only repays the debts he can afford. But his mother once told him that everyone must light a lamp in the dark at least once in their life.

He has descended the mountain. He will see for himself: who is blowing out the lamps of this jianghu, one by one?
