Journey to the West: From the Start, I Smell My Own Death

You think escaping a brush with death means you've been given a new life?

Reborn on Lion Camel Ridge, Little Drill Wind awakens a special ability: he can smell the aura of death and see its shadow, and he foresees the end awaiting him, his skull smashed by the Golden Cudgel.

He disobeys orders and refuses to patrol the mountain, saving his own life.

But the next day, terrible news comes from the western route: six little demons on patrol have been killed.

It turns out death has a quota, and every vacancy must be filled by someone else.

After watching his companions become his substitutes in death, Little Drill Wind wants more than just to stay alive.

In this hell overrun by demons, he will find the being that set the quota for life and death, and overthrow the iron law that treats the lives of ten thousand demons as worthless.
