The Shopkeeper Picked Up a Young Scholar

On a bitterly cold night, with heavy snow blocking the mountain pass, Shen Yan found a badly injured man with no memory outside her tavern. His name was You Li. She ran the ten-mile tavern alone. Seeing that he had nowhere to go, she took him on to keep the books and serve customers. Gentle and well-read, You Li helped her manage the tavern’s many daily affairs. As they spent their days together, feelings quietly blossomed between them. She thought he was merely a down-on-his-luck scholar, and that running her little shop and living a simple life was enough. She had no idea that You Li was actually a prince who had secretly left the capital, driven into the wilderness after being ambushed. This novel and its characters are entirely fictional.
