The Seventh Witness

In 2019, on a stormy night in Jiang City, a black sedan loses control on a river-crossing bridge and plunges into the water. Seven passersby witness the entire incident at the same time, yet their testimonies are astonishingly identical: a woman in a white dress was sitting in the back seat. The surveillance footage shows the back seat completely empty. Detective Chen Mo is assigned to investigate the case, only to discover that the seven witnesses are dying one after another under bizarre circumstances. The first dies in a gas leak, the second jumps from a building in an apparent suicide, and the third bites through her own tongue in a psychiatric hospital... The manner of each death precisely corresponds to that person's deepest fear. During the investigation, Chen Mo discovers in horror that seven years earlier, his younger sister Chen Yu died in the same kind of plunge from the same bridge. When the car was recovered, there was no body inside, only a white dress. When the seventh witness, a blind woman suffering from amnesia, appears before Chen Mo, she says something that chills him to the bone: I saw her. The woman in the back seat looked exactly like you.
