The Unusual Hero He Jiusheng

The young He Jiusheng is fierce by nature. When he sees injustice on the road, he steps in to protect the common people and beats the local bully Niu Er. His hot-blooded act was meant to defend the weak, but it brings disaster upon his entire family. Nursing a grudge, Niu Er gathers his men that very night, surrounds the house, and sets it ablaze, burning He Jiusheng's whole family. To save their son's life, his parents fight desperately to protect him and both perish in the flames, but they manage to carve out a path for his escape. In a single night, his family is destroyed and everyone he loves is dead, forcing He Jiusheng to flee in panic. Niu Er sends men to hunt him down, while secretly setting traps and framing him, leaving him falsely accused and wanted by the law, a fugitive at the ends of the earth with danger at every step.

Even in desperate circumstances, He Jiusheng's innate kindness does not die. During his flight, he continues to risk himself to save others, winning the love of a woman who pledges herself to him and follows him for life. His good deeds move a fairy, who gifts him a flying sword and helps him overcome one deadly calamity after another.

Though he carries a blood feud, He Jiusheng never lets hatred consume him. He travels across countless mountains in search of renowned masters, devotes himself to training, sheds his youthful recklessness, and develops unparalleled martial arts, eventually becoming a grandmaster of his generation. Thereafter, he roams the martial world with his sword, punishing evil and protecting the innocent, spending his life living by the principles of chivalry and bringing solace to his parents in the afterlife.
