Chasing Crimes Through Lingering Shadows

A rookie officer starts on the job and is criticized by his superior for filling out his file incorrectly, yet falls for him at first sight. As they work together day after day, their feelings gradually grow.

During the case at the docks, the operation fails after the undercover officer's identity is exposed. The subordinate dies, and the superior is seriously injured and falls into a coma.

After recovering and returning to the team, the superior develops dissociative disorder and forgets that the subordinate died. The smell of charred food triggers an intense physical reaction of nausea and vomiting.

After that, murders occur one after another. The police discover that every case points to the same criminal mastermind, who hides behind a charitable facade.

In his dazed moments, the subordinate's apparition is always by the superior's side, soothing his trauma and helping him reconcile with the favoritism and emotional wounds of his family of origin. Time and again, the apparition guides him toward the right leads in the investigation.

A mother and son who once received aid from the mastermind come forward with evidence, establishing his guilt.

The criminal investigation team sets a trap and takes down the entire gang. As the arrests conclude, the superior's sealed memories finally return. He faces the subordinate's sacrifice and, from then on, carries the subordinate's sincerity and original ideals with him, staying true to his criminal investigation duties and protecting the peace of the world.
