American Comics: A Gotham Beat Cop, Shooting Down Bullets with a Wooden Sword

Three hours after setting foot in Gotham, he's already seen guns, a hail of bullets, and magical water jets, not to mention a phantom beast leaping into his arms for help.

The wooden sword from Lake Toya in his hand can indeed slash bullets and cleave cannon shells, and it can even slice through the Penguin Gang's rocket launchers. But every time he activates his Samurai Soul, his fighting style veers straight toward that certain manager of an all-purpose shop. In Gotham, the city with the highest crime rate in America, taking on supervillains with the tactics of a gag manga seems like asking to get himself killed.

Qin Su came anyway. Not because he wanted to be some Dark Knight, but simply because Central City was too safe. The Flash there even rushes to save stray cats, so it takes two and a half years to earn enough for a single draw. On Gotham's streets, though, you can stumble across three crimes in progress just by taking a few steps.

And the police station's welcome? A pair of handcuffs, some old body armor, and Commissioner Kevin's words: "I hope you still feel that way a few years from now." System points are rising, and so is the strength of his enemies. When Black Mask's bullets and Edward's water attack him at the same time, Qin Su finally realizes that the perfect place to farm points is a lot crazier than he expected.
