American Comics: A Containment Object from the Start, with Coulson as the Mole

Taking over a smuggling syndicate, with three S.H.I.E.L.D. moles already in place.

The good news is that for now, none of them dares make a move. The missing nuclear warhead still hasn't been found, and Beichen has a bizarre System that can toss anomalies into Marvel. A carnivorous Ivy has already taken root in the deserts of the Middle East, Ten Rings militants are disappearing in droves, and Tony Stark is trapped in a cave, hammering away at his first suit of armor, completely unaware that he is about to become the most important piece on the board.

Coulson thinks his cover is flawless. Natasha is still trying to fish for information, while May secretly assesses how dangerous this new boss is. What they don't know is that Beichen has been waiting for them to come to him from the very beginning. Every moment of shock and every trace of fear from the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. keeps generating legend points for his System.

When that vine finally runs out of control, and everyone realizes what these anomalies really are, all of S.H.I.E.L.D. will understand: this man never intended to clean up the smuggling syndicate. He's here to teach Marvel to fear.
