Journey to the West: A Heavenly Soldier from the Start, Slaying Soldiers in Lingxiao Palace

The Heavenly Soldier Gu Jing stumbled upon the Seven Fairies descending to the mortal world. He had hoped to earn merit by protecting them, but who could have guessed that the Cowherd and his old ox would vanish into thin air, leaving the stolen goods in his hands?

With seven immortal swords pressed against his neck, the so-called laws of Heaven were nothing but empty words. Who cared whether a low-ranking Heavenly Soldier lived or died?

At this moment of life and death, the Heavenly Court Corrupt Official System suddenly appeared.

Taking a princess hostage, ascending the Southern Heavenly Gate, and turning traitor before the throne, Gu Jing got his first taste of power. As it turned out, selling out the Jade Emperor's entire family could actually win him the attention of all the celestial officials in the hall.

In Lingxiao Palace, right in front of the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, he pierced the throat of a negligent Heavenly Soldier. The moment blood spattered Li Jing's robe, the officials of the entire court finally remembered his name.

A year later, the Mystic Immortal emerged from seclusion, and Gu Jing officially took up his post as an Inspection Deity.

As he passed Guanghan Palace, he happened upon Marshal Tianpeng pestering Chang'e relentlessly. Smiling, Gu Jing produced an image-recording stone. "Brother Tianpeng, you wouldn't want this scandal brought before His Majesty, would you?"

The Jade Emperor wanted a lone minister to stir up the stagnant waters of the Heavenly Court. The System wanted its corrupt official to climb step by step to the summit and seize control of the Three Realms. But Gu Jing only wanted every immortal and deity who had ever looked down on him to understand one thing: a Heavenly Soldier's hand could grasp the lifeline of Lingxiao Palace just as firmly.
