Unconventional Uses for My System

“Horror movies” are “technology selection grounds” set up by advanced civilizations. Each instance, such as Alien, Silent Hill, or The Call of Cthulhu, corresponds to a sealed-off technology tree, including biological armor, reality-warping fields, and dimensional weapons. The protagonist is selected to enter, but instead of relying on brute force, he uses a cautious, research-minded approach: he keeps his head down in each instance, analyzes its rules, then “submits” the “blueprints for advanced technology” to the national engineering academy in the real world through the System. Scientists in reality develop the technology in parallel, while the protagonist upgrades his equipment inside the instances, forming a closed loop of “real-world research and instance testing.”
