Our Story

In her second year of high school, Song Wan was forced to share a desk with a poor boy.

She disliked how quiet he was, the frayed cuffs of his uniform, and the way he dragged down the class average.

But when she was cornered by a group of people, Ji Bei stepped in front of her. Blood ran down his forehead, yet he didn’t utter a word.

She acted tough but had a soft heart, using her disdain as armor. When he worked late into the night, though, she secretly tucked food into his lunchbox.

On graduation day, he kissed her in front of the library, stunning the whole school.

She didn’t pull away, but her eyes turned red.

This poor boy was the desk mate she never wanted to leave behind for the rest of her life.
