History: Ranking Usurpations, Qin Shi Huang Sees It and Executes Zhao Gao

Beneath the night lanterns of Xianyang Palace, the First Emperor is casually browsing the History Mirror when he suddenly sees a pinned post at the very top: A Ranking of the Ten Greatest Usurpers and Princes Who Seized the Throne Throughout Chinese History. He taps it without a second thought. On-screen, he sees himself lying on his deathbed, Zhao Gao smirking beside his corpse, Li Si kneeling as he receives the forged edict, and his most beloved son, Hu Hai, gradually ascending the throne that should have belonged to Fusu.

At this very moment, Zhao Gao is still on duty outside the hall, respectfully awaiting orders. Li Si is still at home reviewing documents, and Hu Hai is still kneeling at his feet, saying all the things he wants to hear. But the First Emperor has already seen the entire timeline. After his death, these three people closest to him will join forces to alter his final edict, drive Fusu to his death, and ruin the Qin Empire.

He slowly clenches his fist, his gaze passing over Zhao Gao kneeling before him and settling on a point in the empty air. Since the future has been delivered before his eyes, those who must die can be killed now, and those who must be dismissed need not be kept a moment longer. What the History Mirror has shown him is no prophecy, but a list of people he can act against right away.
