Siheyuan: Saving Lou Xiao'e and Subduing the Whole Yard of Beasts

Liu Wensheng had endured six years in a courtyard full of brutes, and finally used his skills to rise to the rank of seventh-grade fitter, earning 77.5 yuan a month. Qin Huairu, who had broken off their engagement back when she thought he was poor, was now pregnant and gnawing on corn buns at the Jia home, yet still wanted to mooch off his meat. Jia Zhangshi ordered her grandson to climb in through a window to steal things. He fell and cracked his head, and she turned around and extorted twenty yuan from Liu. Not one of the courtyard's "masters" would stand up for justice. They were all scheming to suck him dry and make him support them in their old age.

Move away? No. He was staying put, just to see how shameless these people could get. Bang Geng stole food and fell, cracking his head. Jia Dongxu came to his door to grab money and got his teeth knocked out instead. After Jia Zhangshi made a scene and got slapped, she tried to extort fifty yuan. But Liu Wensheng had evidence in hand, and just mentioning the Subdistrict Office was enough to make the whole courtyard tremble with fear.

At last, the System arrived, rewarding him for punishing evil and promoting good: fine rice, beef, Baji Fist, the Chef God skill, and even a coveted bicycle voucher. He had now been promoted to eighth-grade fitter, earning 87.5 yuan a month and enjoying a bright future at the steelworks. And just then, Lou Xiao'e, the daughter of Lou Bancheng, came riding into him on her bicycle. Helping Lou Xiao'e and putting the brutes in the courtyard in their place was only the beginning.
