I'm a Dragon-Witch Experiment Subject, and You Call This a Rebirth?

Eleven years after transmigrating, the newly born Herma finally receives his letter from Hogwarts. But the truth revealed by the headmaster himself is horrifying: he isn't an ordinary orphan, but the only surviving test subject of the Dragon Wizard Corps, under an ancient Dark wizard. Once deemed a defective specimen unlikely to live past ten, he has now arrived with a soul from another world and a mysterious System.

But the System is half-broken, and the old man inside it only works now and then. The only usable feature is a gacha-style system for unlocking hero skills. There's no cheat power to steamroll his enemies, no extraordinary talent, only a black wand nearly a meter long that no one can awaken, and the mark of a forbidden experiment that could turn on him at any moment.

Even worse, he arrives at school during the Chamber of Secrets year. The story has gone off the rails, and danger has come early. Hannah isn't trapped in the bathroom, Harry nearly falls to his death, and even a lunatic from Knockturn Alley has his eye on Herma. Herma only wants to protect his family and keep his head down until the end, but the eyes lurking in the shadows clearly don't intend to let him have his way.

Now this defective specimen, forgotten by the wizarding world, stands before the Sorting Hat. Will he become a hero, or a weapon? It has only just begun.
