Dream of the Red Chamber: The Jia Family's Cook, Whose Dishes Can Change the Verdicts

Chen Yan was a sous-chef for state banquets, ostracized for refusing to use premade meal packs. After transmigrating, he became the lowest-ranking cook in the Jia household's kitchen, where his wages were docked and his skills went unrecognized.

Fortunately, the Cooking Smoke System awakened: the dishes he made could reveal the ailments troubling those who ate them.

The Old Madam's listlessness and insomnia, Wang Xifeng's pent-up fury, Daiyu's decade of sorrow... The verdicts for the Twelve Beauties were actually medical records, one after another.

A dish could be cooked to perfection, and the verdict could be rewritten.

A bowl of tofu made the steward who'd docked his wages lose his composure in front of everyone. A cup of calming soup gave Jia Mu a peaceful night's sleep. A bowl of porridge soothed Daiyu's melancholy. Even the Imperial Kitchen came asking him to take charge of the cooking.

Xue Pan offered a fortune to become his apprentice, the Prince of Beijing came to pay his respects, and even the imperial consort wanted a taste.

And Chen Yan's fire spread from the Jia household kitchen to the capital, the south, and the whole realm.

In a year of famine, a pot of porridge fed an entire city. At the northern frontier's trade market, a banquet opened up trade routes. At the revival of the imperial banquet, one pot of Buddha Jumps Over the Wall won the emperor's heart.

In this world where the verdicts were set in stone, I'll use a single cooking pot to rewrite them, one page at a time.
