Type-Moon: Jewel-Class Mystic Eyes, Summoning Insect Familiars

Matou Chi was sent to the bug room at the age of seven. At seven, insects burrowed into his eyes. At seven, he was transformed into an insect user. Zouken Matou used Crest Worms to tear open his Magic Circuits, Soul Worms to stabilize his mind, and twenty years of hellish training to turn him into a weapon for the Holy Grail War.

But he has a pair of Jewel-Class Mystic Eyes: they let him analyze knowledge and take apart magecraft, and he can see through even the Insect Magecraft passed down by the Matou Family for two hundred years at a glance. He has also mastered the forbidden ritual of summoning his past life, digging up crucial intelligence from his memories of the "future": he wasn't part of the Fourth Holy Grail War. The Matou Family's champion was Kariya, that cowardly deserter.

The Old Worm wants him to fight: "Get the Grail, and I'll let you go." Matou Chi lowers his head and spins his revolver. Magic Spirit Worms crawl beneath his skin, Winged Blade Insects molt in their nest, and Fireball Ants are primed to explode. He looks up. "Fine, but I'll burn everyone in this war to ashes, Masters and Servants alike."

While Tokiomi Tohsaka is still plotting against his allies and Kirei Kotomine is still searching for answers, Matou Chi has already laid his plans: drown Fuyuki in a sea of insects, use his Mystic Eyes to analyze everything, and make a wish on the Grail to erase the Matou Family from existence forever.
