Showbiz: The Queen of Pop Pretends to Be a Nobody, and I Pretend Not to Know

Late at night by the sea, I played a tune on my harmonica.

A strange woman hummed along from the other side of a rock, and we finished the song together.

She slipped me a note: I'm Wen Li, an amateur who'd like you to write a song for me.

Only later did I learn that she was the nation's beloved pop diva, Wanqing.

She didn't know who I was.

She also didn't know that I was Raven, the mysterious songwriter the whole internet was begging to hear from.

And she had no idea I'd already recognized her elusive creative account, Pear.

We pretended not to know each other's secrets.

She pretended to be an amateur, and I pretended to be broke.

Until her secret identity was completely exposed during a livestream.

The whole internet: What the hell??? Wanqing???

Wanqing: Shen Yanshen, you jerk!

Me: You sing beautifully. I just wanted to hear you sing.

Later, when she flung our marriage certificate in my face, the whole internet went wild.
