Honkai: Star Rail: That Day, a Sniper Set His Sights on an Aeon

Tian Yu transmigrates onto the Astral Express and binds himself to a daily sign-in System. Over two and a half years, he builds up an arsenal: a Dragon Star sniper rifle, armor-piercing rounds, spatial rounds, and a thousand-mile eye. When Herta Space Station comes under attack, he charges into battle with the crew and blows away an Antimatter Legion elite with one shot. The bullet devours the corpse.

When he sweeps the corridor with his thousand-mile eye, he sees Kafka bending to pick up the bullet he fired. The young man Elio calls a "variable" is watching her through three walls. Silver Wolf pauses her typing. "Kafka, that kid's watching us." Kafka slips the bullet into her pocket and smiles faintly. "Let him watch."

The Doomsday Beast tears through the space station's shield, and Tian Yu feels truly excited for the first time. The Dragon Star's barrel unfolds, compressing energy. March 7th raises her bow and taunts the beast. The next second, he pulls the trigger. As the bullet explodes, the System announces that it has detected the gaze of an Aeon and unlocked a special sign-in location.

He looks up through the burning debris in space, as if he can see something that should not exist. Caelus grips his bat and asks quietly what he hit. Tian Yu lowers his rifle and answers softly, "Something that should never be targeted."
