The Corpse Will Lie 72 Hours After Death

The Linjiang City Evidence Center has a rule that can never be written into its official procedures: within seventy-two hours of a person’s death, statements left behind by the body may be filed as evidence, but every statement contains a lie. When evidence reviewer Lin Yan first encountered this rule, the deceased said he had given the key to Cabinet Three to his younger brother. But the records proved that the deceased had no brother.
