Siheyuan: My Submission Stuns Newspaper Offices Nationwide from the Start

Literature professor Yan Jiecheng wakes up one day and finds himself transmigrated to 1958, as the eldest son who has just turned eighteen and is being chased by his own father, Yan Bugui, with an abacus, demanding money for his keep.

His transmigration perk System appears, only to be forcibly driven away by the Heavenly Dao of the Siheyuan. It leaves behind a vast stasis space, the power of the Five Pillars, and perfected Baguazhang.

With no System handing out rewards, Yan Jiecheng relies on his knowledge from his previous life to take the college entrance exam, while setting his sights on literary writing, which pays handsomely in royalties.

Articles about workers and peasants, revolutionary fiction, and one reader letter after another take him from the Siheyuan into universities, newspaper offices, and the national literary scene.

Yi Zhonghai tries to guilt-trip him, while He Yuzhu and Xu Damao keep causing trouble. Yan Jiecheng uses his writing, evidence, and connections to get the better of them one by one.

From forestry camps in the Northeast to the Shanghai Writers' Association, and then to military training in the Southwest, Yan Jiecheng is turning his pen into the sharpest weapon of the era!
