Siheyuan: A Bowl of Clear Noodle Soup Won Me a Lovely Wife

Jiang Liu transmigrates to the 1960s. Just after setting out from the countryside for the capital, he saves Li Xiuzhi on the road during a famine with a bowl of plain noodles.

The thin, timid young woman has nowhere to go, so she follows him all the way into the city, willing to do the laundry and cooking and share his life.

Jiang Liu inherits two rooms and a job at the steel mill from his uncle, then awakens a daily sign-in System. Food, meat, cash, gene-enhancing medicine, and a manor-like pocket dimension keep coming his way.

He means to shut the door and enjoy a quiet life, but the Jia family sets its sights on his house. Yi Zhonghai and Deaf Granny take turns plotting against him, and Silly Zhu even dares to come to his door looking for trouble.

After joining the security department, Jiang Liu earns one commendation after another, rising from temporary worker to clerk and then deputy squad leader. He also uncovers a welfare-recipient scam and a major profiteering case.

While the people around him are still scheming over a shabby old house, he's already married Li Xiuzhi and bought more properties. Now he's preparing to attend university while continuing to climb the ladder!
