Journey to the West: In the Name of the Heavenly Court

Su Jian is an ordinary civil servant in the Heavenly Court. Having read In the Name of the People, he knows all too well just how absurd the Heavenly Court's political and bureaucratic system is!

From the start, the construction project contracted by Su Jian was the South Heaven Gate, which Bimawen Sun Wukong smashed during his Havoc in Heaven... The load-bearing columns collapsed!

Su Jian's whole world collapsed too...

Su Jian: "I'm chovy, Monkey Sun! That one blow of yours didn't just smash the South Heaven Gate, it also smashed my future life as an immortal!"

Tathagata Buddha: "By rights, a monk of your rank isn't qualified to join the pilgrimage for scriptures."

Sha Monk: "I used to be the Curtain-Rolling General, with a stable job in the system. I was banished to the mortal realm because I accidentally saw the Jade Emperor and Chang'e having an office affair while I was lifting the curtain."

Sun Wukong: "The Heavenly Court's journey to obtain the scriptures can be called a mighty torrent. Everyone is caught up in it!"

Tang Monk: "Who put these immortal peaches in my office...!?"

Su Jian: "So you admit this is your office?"
