The Beloved System: I'm the Head of the Family in the Future

Set in the 22nd century, the story follows Lin Yi, an ordinary city courier who lies flat and has never known much family warmth. By chance, he binds himself to a "Family Harmony System." Completing the family's assigned tasks, such as mediating conflicts between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law or dealing with ethical controversies caused by technology, gradually improves his standing in the eyes of his family. He earns Affection Points that he can exchange for futuristic technology rewards. Highlights include the playful, children's-story feel of the System's tasks, such as using virtual reality to simulate family situations; clashes between traditional ethics and future technologies like gene editing and AI housekeepers; the protagonist's reversal from a family outsider to its central pillar; and the satisfying moments when he resolves conflicts with ease, using System rewards to help his family achieve their dreams. The story weaves together the healing of family ties, the first stirrings of romance, and explorations of social ethics. In the end, with the System's help, the protagonist becomes head of the family and champions a new vision of family harmony.
