Raising an Army in Liaodong, I’m Enfeoffed as the Prince Who Stands Shoulder to Shoulder with the Emperor

Xiao Heng transmigrates to Liaodong during the Hongwu era and witnesses corrupt officials and Blue Yu's generals oppressing the people, while countless refugees are left homeless. He takes in tens of thousands of refugees to build a fortified stronghold, improves firearms, and trains three thousand elite death warriors, intending to raise an army for self-preservation and resist tyranny. Convinced that Xiao Heng is gathering men to rebel, Blue Yu personally leads his cavalry to crush him, and a great battle is imminent. Little do they know that Zhu Yuanzhang, secretly inspecting Liaodong, has already seen through the problems on the frontier and witnessed Xiao Heng's exceptional skill in military command and frontier administration. As the armies close in and the uprising is on the verge of breaking out, an imperial decree delivered at breakneck speed over eight hundred li arrives, pardoning Xiao Heng of all his crimes and appointing him Prince of Liaodong, a peer of the emperor. From then on, Xiao Heng wields great power, stands firm against the Huai-Xi nobility, reforms Liaodong's defenses, campaigns north against the remnants of the Yuan, and intimidates the tribes beyond the passes, leading the Ming step by step toward a golden age in the northern frontier.
