The Wind Blows from the Old Harbor

Ten years ago, Xu Zhinan lost Shen Tinglan in the evening breeze at the Old Harbor.

She thought it was just an ordinary farewell, never knowing that the unspoken words "Wait for me" would leave them separated by an ocean from then on. Ten years later, she is a documentary filmmaker who specializes in filming old streets and docks on the verge of disappearing, stubbornly trying to preserve the last traces of warmth in her hometown through her camera. He is an urban planner who has returned from overseas, holding the redevelopment blueprint for the entire Old Harbor district.

Standing among the ruins as bulldozers prepare to move in, they find themselves natural adversaries.

She accuses him of erasing memories. He says nothing. Only when an old archive is unexpectedly revealed does she glimpse the compromises and sacrifices hidden behind those cold redevelopment plans, things she had never known about.

The harbor wind has blown for ten years, finally scattering the dust over the past.

Some loves, it turns out, haven't disappeared. Each has simply been sealed away by the two of them in the soon-to-vanish Old Harbor, waiting for a reunion that will bring them back into the light.
