Film and TV Crossover: I Bump into the Emperor on New Year's Eve and Become a Noble Consort in Three Days

Zhi Yun transmigrates into a world of TV dramas, where from the start she is the lowest-ranking palace maid in the Great Zhou imperial palace. On New Year's Eve, she's sent to Yimei Garden to prune plum blossoms, her hands frozen stiff. She's complaining that transmigration has been a raw deal when she backs into a warm chest. She turns around and finds Emperor Xuanling. That night, he carries her back to Yiyuan Hall. In a single night, she rises from foot-washing maid to Noble Lady Jing. The next day, she's promoted to Consort Jing, and the day after that, she's made Lady Wan. The entire harem erupts.

Consort Hua slams the table. "How did a lowly tea server climb so high so quickly?" The Empress crushes a jade ruyi in her fist. "I will pull this thorn from my side!" Zhen Huan and Shen Meizhuang huddle in Tangli Palace, trying to figure it out. "She's all alone. How long can the emperor's favor last?"

But Xuanling keeps Zhi Yun in Yiyuan Hall under his personal watch, and the Imperial Household Department can't even plant a spy there. She is excused from the morning and evening palace rituals, and the emperor personally escorts her to the greetings. Zhi Yun curls up on the imperial bed and flips through light reading. When Xuanling finishes reviewing memorials, he massages her wrist. "Does it hurt?" She nestles into his arms and hums, "You're the best, Your Majesty."
