Sandbox: Magic: The Gathering as a Substitute Life, the White Night King Returns!

After transmigrating as a Planeswalker, Su Nian steps into the Little Garden on his very first trip between worlds. Arcadia has just been wiped out, and smoke still rises from the ruins. White Yaksha grabs him by the collar and interrogates him. He clings to her leg on the spot. "Boss, I swear I was just passing through!"

White Yaksha tosses him a Godhead, giving him five-digit combat strength, then kicks him off to look after the orphans of NoName. Black Rabbit is hiding with the last few children in a basement. The door opens, and the two of them lock eyes.

Black Rabbit chases White Yaksha around, brandishing a Simulated Godhead, the Vajra Pestle. White Yaksha grabs Su Nian by the ankle and yells, "The main god is retreating! You cover us!" Face-down on the floor, Su Nian cries, "Boss, aren't you a star spirit? Dodge!"

The night wind blows through the ruined mansion. Black Rabbit sits on the steps with her knees hugged to her chest, her rabbit ears drooping. Su Nian fishes a packet of instant curry out of a card and offers it to her. "Want something hot to eat first?" Black Rabbit freezes for a moment, then takes it, smiling with red-rimmed eyes.

"I'm Su Nian. You take care of the kids, and I'll handle supplies. We'll find a way to get by."
