Pokemon: Editing Ash, the Eight Masters List Is Revealed

Gu Qing had spent all night editing a video of Xiaozhi winning the championship. Just as he pressed play, a line of blue text appeared on the screen: Video System connected to the Pokemon world. Each time the video is played, cash dividends will be paid according to audience feedback.

The next second, a giant emerald-green screen rose above Wyndon Stadium. Dandi had just defended his championship title, and the predictions for the Masters Eight began to scroll. Cynthia scored 9.9, surpassing Dandi. When Lance saw himself ranked fourth, he froze on the spot. The big screen immediately followed up with surveillance footage of him buying dozens of identical capes, and the whole stadium burst into laughter.

When the list reached eighth place, Alola Champion Xiaozhi appeared: the first person in twenty-five years to reach the peak of the world. The video recapped his journey, from setting out from Pallet Town in 1997, to the Top 16 in the Kanto League, the Top 8 in Johto, his crushing defeat in the XY finals, his first Alola championship, and the Masters Eight showdown with Dandi, where Pikachu's Thunderbolt pierced Charizard. The whole stadium fell silent. Professor Oak took off his glasses, and Cynthia murmured, "Twenty-five years of perseverance... deserves a perfect score." The System displayed: Xiaozhi's final score: 10 points.

Looking at the notification that the money had hit his bank account, Gu Qing leaned back in his chair and smiled.

"These dividends should keep me editing until the next champion is crowned."
