One Piece: The Eagle-Eagle Fruit, and Akainu Urges Me to Be Good

After transmigrating into the world of One Piece, Victory puts on a Justice Coat and, from the start, takes out "One-Eye" Oba, an informant for the Donquixote Family. This angers the North Blue branch's shadowy powers, who send him off to a deserted island to serve as its base commander. The System grants him Conqueror's Haki, and before setting off he happens to pick up four future pillars of the Navy: Law, Bepo, Penguin, and Shachi.

As he recruits on the deserted island, Wolf joins up to repair ships. Deep inside a temple on Swallow Island, they dig up the Mythical Zoan Vidofnir the Eagle fruit, which grants control over the four elements of ice, fire, wind, and lightning. It is the natural enemy of snakes and has an iron stomach. In beast form, its wings blot out the sky, and a single blast of flame can burn through an uninhabited island. Law breaks out in a cold sweat. "This fruit is even more ridiculous than Kaido's Azure Dragon."

Two years later, a letter arrives from Zephyr's training camp. Law stands at the dock to see him off. Victory glances back at the Swallow Island base, now decked out with Justice flags. "Wait for me to come back, then you can cut down Doflamingo's line with your own hands." Far off at sea, Akainu's warship slowly approaches. He murmurs, "This Victory... needs to learn to be a little more merciful."
