Military Life: Hidden Dragon Special Agent! I Scared the Bragging Instructor Stiff

After graduating from high school, Qin Yuan heads to a war zone to work as a bounty hunter. Along the way, he casually wipes out a top mercenary group, saves the dying commander of a shadow unit, and becomes the elite force's special instructor. The military district's old marshal wants to grant him the rank of major by special approval, but Qin Yuan grabs his bag and runs. "Sir, this is just a summer job. I want to go to college and meet some pretty upperclassmen."

On his first day, he passes the military training field, where Instructor Wang is bragging: "You know the Hidden Dragon Unit? I was one of its core members back in the day!" Qin Yuan can't help laughing. "Instructor, your name isn't on the roster." The whole place falls silent. Instructor Wang orders him to do five hundred push-ups. Qin Yuan finishes in two minutes without even breaking a sweat.

During afternoon formation, Instructor Wang kicks Qin Yuan's calf, but he doesn't budge. He tries to bend Qin Yuan's fingers, but they're as solid as welded iron. Then he gets right in Qin Yuan's face and glares at him. Qin Yuan looks up, and Instructor Wang collapses to the ground on the spot. His roommates crowd around and ask what trick he used. Qin Yuan twists open a Coke and takes a gulp:

"Low blood sugar, I guess. The instructor's just weak. What does that have to do with me?"
